Mom to 4, Mimi to 7, and wife to one, Cathy is a Grief & Growth Specialist, author, and speaker, who has witnessed firsthand the devastation and heartbreak of addiction. Beginning in voluntary Youth Ministry, she diligently pursued her professional career in the field of addictions prevention, treatment, and recovery. Her early work as a Corrections Counselor for the local County Jail and Probation Department led to being the Prevention Education Coordinator for The Council on Alcoholism in Ontario County, New York. This culminated in nearly 14 years of service in the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision as a Counselor then Offender Rehabilitation Coordinator in facilities ranging from Shock Incarceration Treatment to Ultra-Maximum Security. She is committed to take all she has experienced and learned and “Make It Matter”, offering hope and healing to others.
